Customer Review: Battlestar Galactica Season 4.0
EXCELLENT PRICE!!! I love the series so I knew I was going to buy it, but this was the best price I found anywhere!! Now that I think of it, I think I have bought all of the series with Amazon.
Customer Review: Half a Season
This is only the first half of the final season, Season 4. Hence the 4.0. They plan on selling the second half once they have aired on TV. Full price for both sets, of course.

Lost: The Complete Fourth Season Lost: The Complete Fourth Season Season four of Lost was a fine return to form for the series, which polarized its audience the year before with its focus on The Others and not enough on our original crash victims. That season’s finale introduced a new storytelling device–the flash-forward–that’s employed to great effect this time around; by showing who actually got off the island (known as the Oceanic Six), the viewer is able to put to bed some longstanding loose ends. As the finale attests, we see that in the future Jack (Matthew Fox) is broken, bearded, and not sober, while Kate (Evangeline Lilly) is estranged from Jack and with another guy (the identity may surprise you). Four others do make it back to their homes, but as the flash-forwards show, it’s definitely not the end of their connection to the island. Back in present day, however, the islanders are visited by the denizens of a so-called rescue ship, who have agendas of their own. While Jack works with the newcomers to try to get off the island, Locke (Terry O’Quinn), with a few followers of his own, forms an uneasy alliance with Ben (Michael Emerson) against the suspicious gang. Some episodes featuring the new characters feel like filler, but the evolution of such characters as Sun and Jin (Yunjin Kim and Daniel Dae Kim) is this season’s strength; plus, the love story of Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) and Penny (Sonya Walger) provides some of the show’s emotional highlights. As is the custom with Lost, bullets fly and characters die (while others may or may not have). Moreover, the fate of Michael (Harold Perrineau), last seen traitorously sailing off to civilization in season two, as well as the flash-forwards of the Oceanic Six, shows you never quite leave the island once you’ve left. There’s a force that pulls them in, and it’s a hook that keeps you watching.

Season four was a shorter 13 episodes instead of the usual 22 due to the 2008 writers’ strike; nonetheless, the set comes with two discs of extras. One of the best features is “LOST in 8:15,” which is a rapid-fire summation of the series thus far in eight minutes, 15 seconds. Narrated by a hilariously droll female, it includes lines such as “Jack meets Kate. Kate stitches up Jack. They bond.” and “They see Jack play football with Mr. Friendly. Mr. Friendly throws like a girl.” The featurette “The Right to Bear Arms” takes a fun look at the prop masters responsible for supplying the castaways with guns–and keeping track of who has one and who doesn’t (best here is Sawyer’s (Josh Holloway) assertion that characters often cock their guns just to look cool). Cast members Lilly, Garcia, Yunjin Kim, and Daniel Dae Kim provide a few of the commentaries, and the set even comes with an amusing safety guide for Oceanic Airlines. (Example: “if you notice black smoke emanating from the plane, please alert the captain. It is either a problem with the engines or a mysterious creature.”) Finally, for those who bought the standard-def DVD, take a closer look at the front cover after you’ve removed the O-sleeve; you’ll notice the entire cast has been blacked out save for a few: the Oceanic Six. –Ellen A. Kim

Dance the Chakras Yoga Workout - Ana Brett & Ravi Singh ***With the New MATRIX Menu Option***

Posted by tah1124 in DVD

Dance the Chakras Yoga Workout - Ana Brett & Ravi Singh ***With the New MATRIX Menu Option*** Dance the Chakras Yoga Workout - Ana Brett & Ravi Singh ***With the New MATRIX Menu Option*** NOW FEATURING THE DESIGN YOUR OWN WORKOUT MATRIX MENU OPTION!!!All I can say is wow! This isn’t your mother’s yoga. Dance the Chakras Yoga Workout features two 30 min. sessions. starting with a complete 30 minute Kundalini Yoga routine invigorating dynamic and profoundly effective just like Ana & Ravi’s other workouts. The 2nd set is not your usual “Trance” fare but an energetic pulsating sequence of mostly lead movement routines. This section is pretty aerobic and somewhat intense. Although the moves seem simple those who don’t have a dance or aerobic etc. background can easily participate. (This DVD allows the user to pre-program their own workout.) Dance 1 is Tribal Dance. The others feature Funky Temple Dance Dance of Power and Heart Dance. The last two segments can only be described as blissful. Tom Carden’s music on this one is hands down the best music on a yoga DVD. Like all their recent offerings Ana & Ravi have broken away from the yoga pack with this exciting innovative DVD.System Requirements:Running Time: 65 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: HEALTH/FITNESS/YOGA UPC: 880239003696 Manufacturer No: WD-1048
Customer Review: A mind body and soul workout!
Dance the Chakras is simply the best “all in one workout” I’ve ever experienced. And when I say “all in one” I’m not just referring to the coverage of strength training, stretching and cardio, there’s also the mental workout component as well! It begins with a 30 minute kundalini yoga set which opens the chakras or energy centers in our bodies freeing all kinds of warm fuzzies! Then if that were not enough it is followed by a freeing and wonderful dance segment broken into several sections that will have your thighs begging for mercy {surf dips anyone?} I do find it odd that some reviewers found this to be light cardio. I mean did you guys do the tribal dance segment? If you really put yourself into it you WILL get a fabulous workout! But I can’t end without telling you about the beautiful meditation chant for inner peace and prosperity! I can’t rave enough about this one! It truly is my antidepressant, fitness, soul working regime. Give it A try!! I love you Ana and Ravi!
Customer Review: Perfect for Non-Dance Types
I have the proverbial two left feet so I’ve always stayed away from fitness DVDs which require one to do choreographed moves. I am a big Ana & Ravi fan so I thought I’d give this a try. I’m really excited about this because the lead moves are simple enough for anyone (including me) to do. Also, per the title, this workout really does free up your energy blocks for breakthroughs in the stagnant areas of your life. This is a lot of depth and power in this workout but it also doesn’t take itself to seriously. Perfect blend of the profound and high fun factor!

The FIRM 5-Pound Kettle Bell Kit with Transfirm Your Trouble Zones DVD

Posted by tah1124 in DVD

The FIRM 5-Pound Kettle Bell Kit with Transfirm Your Trouble Zones DVD The FIRM 5-Pound Kettle Bell Kit with Transfirm Your Trouble Zones DVD Tighten your abs and sculpt your entire body with today’s most transforming cardio fitness tool. With The FIRM Master Instructor Kelsie Daniels, you’ll swing the 5 lb. Kettlebell like a pendulum for a workout you can’t duplicate with regular weights. You get tight abs while you melt. Imported.
Customer Review: Back Problems?
I workout often with an exercise ball and this was my first time to use a kettlebell. I am 50 years old but in great physical shape except for a car accident 3 years ago that hurt my back. The range of motion for the kettlebell is great, however, she does a sit-up that eventually is a sit-up to standing up, that is impossible to do if you have any sort of back or neck problems. When I read other reviews I thought this would be perfect but I can only do parts of it.
Customer Review: mom for the Firm
This workout kicks butt–my butt. I love this workout. Kelsie Daniels is so inspirational and easy to follow. I have followed the Firm for years and this is my favorite of all the workouts. I would recommend this DVD to anyone wanting to get fit and feel great.

Left 4 Dead

Posted by tah1124 in DVD

Left 4 Dead Left 4 Dead Set in a modern day survival-horror universe, the co-operative gameplay of Left 4 Dead (L4D) casts four “Survivors” in an epic struggle against hordes of swarming zombies and terrifying “Boss Infected” mutants. Developed by Turtle Rock Studios and Valve, creators of the Counter-Strike and Half-Life games, the latest AI technology allows for multiplayer games of one to eight players.

A new and highly virulent strain of the rabies virus emerges and spreads through the human population with frightening speed. The pandemic’s victims become grotesquely disfigured widely violent psychopaths, attacking the uninfected on sight. As one of the “lucky” few apparently immune to the sickness, you, unfortunately, are also trapped in a city crawling with thousands of the bloodthirsty Infected. Alone, you’re dead. But together with a handful of fellow survivors, you might just fight your way to safety.

Players can play as a Survivor or as one of four types of Boss Infected, each of whom possess a unique mutant ability, such as a 50-foot tongue lasso or a giant belly full of explosive methane gas. The gameplay of L4D is set across four massive campaigns. The zombie population of each mission is choreographed by an AI Director that monitors the human players’ actions and creates a unique and dramatic experience for them on the fly.

Customer Review: See Zombies Shoot Zombies Zombies Go Splat!
This review is based only on solo game play. I have been told that the game is excellent in on-line multi-play. Very basic FPS with decent weapons, easy controls and fast action. The zombies are very “28 Days Later” nouveau fast running and the action looks great. The game takes you and three others on a run for safety through a variety of locations: skyscraper, sewers, jungle, etc, and keeps throwing enough zombie action, along with taking care of your fellow team members and gearing up, to give you a nice ride. The negative in this game is that it is very fast and once you get through it a couple of times, it becomes repetitious, as it doesn’t really change much. Again, this is from only solo game play. It is not “Crysis” or “Bioshock,” but it is definitely a nice way to blast away a few good hours.
Customer Review: boring!
graphics are good and the concept was great! then you play the game and realize there is nothing scary or suspenseful about it. it’s your basic run and gun. Unlike resident evil, where zombies may suprise you crasing through windows, this game just throws dozens of zombies around every corner. just keep shooting and moving forward and you will complete each map. nothing exciting about it. i pre-ordered it and GAVE the game away a week later.

Fallout 3

Fallout 3 Fallout 3 The third game in the Fallout series, Fallout 3 is a singleplayer action role-playing game (RPG) set in a post-apocalyptic Washington DC. Combining the horrific insanity of the Cold War era theory of mutually assured destruction gone terribly wrong, with the kitschy naivety of American 1950s nuclear propaganda, Fallout 3 will satisfy both players familiar with the popular first two games in its series as well as those coming to the franchise for the first time.
