Customer Review: Angel: Live Fast, Die Never- Music From Angel TV Series I purchased just for LA Song by Christian Kane…found the rest of the album on this soundtrack to be a bonus. A must for any Buffy or Angel fan!!! 4 stars!!!!!! Customer Review: For Angel fans and then some! I am a die hard Angel fan. I have watched the series about 100 times by now and know where each of these songs fit in the episodes. Who knew Christian Kane had such a sexy voice to match his good looks? LA, the Main title Theme from Angel, and anything sung by Andy Hallet are worth the price of the CD. Plus peppered in are the full length background music from episodes such as Apocalypse Nowish and their journey to Pylea. An Angel fan “must have”.

Instruments of the Orchestra Customer Review: What a fabulous resource! As a music educator, I’ve found the recorded excerpts to be wonderfully and logically organized and presented. I’ve always been an instrumental music teacher only, but find myself teaching general music classes this year, and absolutely love what I’ve used so far. The last disc alone shows the fascinating evolution of the modern orchestra. Every other track is narrative text, the script of which is printed in the booklet, and I present that info myself, modifying as needed and answering questions during that time. I’ve only skimmed the other information from the booklet on my own, and look forward to reading and learning more! I’ll be buying another copy of Instruments of the Orchestra for my school to own in the near future. Customer Review: Excellent for non-musicians I just listen to music, don’t play an instrument or read music. This set greatly helped me know just WHAT was making the sounds I heard, and what the various instruments are capable of doing and the range they have. I still can’t distinguish a violin from a viola very well—but I’m getting better. Overall I’m quite satisfied and plan to see if my grandchildren are interested.

Music for Solo Harp Customer Review: Interesting fact I read it in a magazine a few months ago that there were two musical instruments, which had a particularly good influence on a human body. Solo harp and solo violin create unique sound waves. I also found out that almost all of the harpists are long-livers.
I like classic music but I am not sure I heard solo harp before. I decided to buy this CD not only for my `soul’ but for my `body’ too.
I really enjoy this CD. It contains pieces by my favorite composers (F.Liszt, M.I. Glinka, F.Chopin). The music is very calm and pleasant.

Music for Montserrat On the evening of September 15, 1997, legendary British music producer George Martin (who had risen to prominence with the Beatles) held a benefit concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the small Caribbean island of Montserrat, which had recently been devastated by a volcanic eruption. All of the invited superstars had recorded some of their biggest hits at Montserrat’s Air Studios, which Martin had founded in 1970, and this shared history gives Music for Montserrat an added sense of enjoyment among friends. Despite a few vocal dropouts and forgivable mixing problems, this outstanding concert has been captured with impressive fidelity, and while each artist performs songs appropriate to the occasion, they share the stage (along with a house band, choir, and orchestra conducted by Martin) in brilliant combinations that bring out the best in everyone involved.
The show hits full stride with Mark Knopfler’s exquisite “Brothers in Arms,” which segues nicely into “Money for Nothing” with guest vocals by Sting, who then performs two hits from his Police years. And while Elton John and Eric Clapton form the centerpiece of the concert (especially Clapton and Knopfler’s acoustic “Layla”), Paul McCartney anchors the show with a spectacular four-song conclusion. Phil Collins’s expert drumming is matched throughout by legendary percussionist Ray Kooper, and McCartney’s fully orchestrated “Golden Slumbers” is a genuine show-stopper, followed by a “Hey Jude” sing-along with everyone on stage. They all follow McCartney’s lead for a rockin’ rendition of “Kansas City” (which the Beatles had performed as early as 1960), by which time Music for Montserrat had given its royal audience a show they would never forget. –Jeff Shannon Customer Review: Amazing To See All These Stars Sharing The Stage! Wow, this was a shock to see rock mega-stars like Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney and Mark Knopfler side-by-side-by side on stage for a couple of numbers. Add in Phil Collins on drums, Ray Cooper on percussion, Elton John and Jools Holland on keyboards and more good backup musicians, plus an orchestra and big choir and it all made for a memorable night, I’m sure, for those at Royal Albert Hall in London in 1997.

Wow #1s: 31 of the Greatest Christian Music Hits Ever Here we have the ultimate artifact from the bestselling Wow series: Wow #1s: 31 of the Greatest Christian Music Hits Ever. This collection does have some great anthems, but they’re the kind of tunes that anyone who’s given even a cursory listen to Christian pop radio in the 90s or 00s has heard dozens of times by now. It’s hard not to see this release as the result of a zeal on the part of the Wow organization to reduce contemporary Christian music to the sort of bite-sized, sales-driven, best of the best mentality that fuels so much of secular consumer culture. For the most part, the result is a blanched and overproduced mess: very little of the music remotely urban or exciting, almost all of it overly sentimental. Rather than a hearty meal, it’s like eating a cake made entirely of frosting. Many if not most of the artists themselves are talented, of course, and if even one more listener can get turned on to the highly personal rock of Rich Mullins or the sublime, beyond-diva-level vocalizings of Nicole C. Mullen, that’s never a bad thing. –Mike McGonigal Customer Review: BEST EVER??? WHERE IS PETRA, THEN???? Best ever??!! BEST EVER?!!! I CANT’T BELIEVE THIS! IF THESE SONGS ARE THE GREATEST CHRISTIAN SONGS EVER WHERE IS PETRA??? TELL ME WHERE IS THE GREATEST CHRISTIAN BAND?????!!! THIS IS MADNESS. AND ON TOP OF THAT: PLACE IN THIS WORLD???? MICHAEL W. SMITH HAS BETTER SONGS THAN THAT CHEESY BALLAD. THIS ALBUM IS LUDICROUS… WELL, AT LEAST IT HAS THE GREATEST SONG OF AMY GRANT: LEAD ME ON. BUT WHERE IS PETRA? WHERE IS PETRA???!!! WHERE IS THE GREATEST CHRISTIAN BAND?????!!!!!! Customer Review: 31 greatest Nobody likes everything. I really loved the “blue disc” but didn’t like the “gray disc” much. Someone did a really great job of categorizing and seperating the music by style. I like the “blue disc” an awful lot. It is well worth what I paid for it. The service was quick and trouble free. Overall I’m very satisfied.

Those Were Our Songs: Music of World War II Customer Review: those were our songs
All the products I bought from Amazon.com. are very good and the company is very fair in their dealings, Bill Orlin Customer Review: Almost Perfect This CD would have been perfection except for the inclusion of two songs by Betty Hutton (listening to her mangled version of IT HAD TO BE YOU is too painful for words) and the exclusion of Glenn Miller. Perhaps whoever put this collection together experienced a brief psychotic break. I can’t think of any other reason why the off-key, over-the-top vocals of Betty Hutton would have been selected over Glenn Miller.
